pain that fluctuates in waves
a constant raging battlefield
my head now bows but will not yield
as time passes for me and paves
an unwanted road
path of misery
journey of agony
and with every twist and turn
Hope suddenly rising
on moments most surprising
promises, dreams and yet I learn
every time it rises but falls
false emotions draw me in
and a faint voice distant as it calls
lighting waterfalls within
lightning swift thoughts that make my head spin
in a cave where the water is rising
not on any map or thing
go through state of mind surprising
But even as I drown in my mind, I'm too far gone to be afraid
of consequence
importance
or even the ignorance that swallows us all as I speak to
anyone seeying this who listened
or has a clue what I'm going through
willing to put down their fist and
hold out their hand to those in need...
